Abstract：Based on the detail analysis of PID parameter tuning development, it has points out that the traditional PID parameter tuning has the advantage of clear physical sense and easily to master.Its disadvantage is parameter optimization.Some comments are also made on the contemporary PID parameter automatic tuning, the characteristics of several PID parameter optimization are pointed out.As a result, prospects on the PID parameter tuning trends are given, and it considers that the mixing of advanced control theory and PID tuning method is the way of novel PID controllers.
