Abstract：Based on the virtue of Conceptual Integration Theory by Fauconnier and Turner, this paper tries to interpret the image of moonlight in Chinese classical poems from the cognitive prospective, and uses three types of integration to describe the inner mechanism of conceptual integration in the process of interpreting moonlight's image.Generally, types of integration include composition, completion and elaboration.Being a general cognitive operation, conceptual integration theory has powerful cognitive force to interpret the moonlight's image.It gives us a broader prospect to comprehend Chinese classic moonlight poems and to enrich the study in the field as well.
