Abstract：According to the current situation and the statistics data for recent 20 years on the road traffic accidents in Henan province,a further analysis and research were carried out on the accident statistics through the method of principal component analysis and with the aid of SPSS statistical software. And then,the law of the accident occurrence and development was studied. Moreover,combining with the characteristics of the traffic accidents,the model for the grey system prediction on traffic accident was established,based on the qualitative analysis and derived from the grey theory. The model has made a comprehensive evaluation and prediction on the road traffic accidents of Henan province in the next few years,and can also provide reference methods for the evaluation and prediction of various safety accidents.
