基于DDS技术和FPGA的任意波形发生器设计

摘要:依据DDS的基本原理,以QuartusII软件平台作为开发工具,对FPGA芯片EP1C3T144C8实现的DDS结构中的数字部分及该部分与单片机的接口进行了设计,其中的波形RAM是任意波形数据的接收端.使用当前流行的虚拟仪器设计语言Lab Windows/CVI作为开发工具,利用计算机强大的计算显示功能,设计实现任意波形发生器的操作面板.通过在操作面板上选择正弦波、方波、三角波,锯齿波等常规波形或手动绘制测试需求的任意波形,并设置波形参数,产生符合接收要求的波形数据,进而控制硬件模块产生相应的波形信号.产生手动绘制任意波形数据是设计过程中的重点和难点,集中体现了任意波形发生器的"任意性".

Design of arbitrary waveform generator based on DDS and FPGA

Abstract:In order to meet with the development of the modern electric technology and market requirements, it is necessary and significant to study the high performance arbitrary waveform generator.Based on the theory of DDS, the digital part realized by FPGA chip EPIC3T144C8 in DDS structure and its interface with MCU are designed with Quartus II.The waveform RAM of DDS is the sink of arbitrary waveform data.Based on this, taking advantage of PC's powerful calculate and display capability, the operate panel of AWG with Lab Windows/CVI is developed.On the panel, user can choose conventional waves such as sine wave, square wave, triangle wave, saw tooth wave etc., draw wave required by testing by hand, and set wave parameters to bring waveform data and control instrument generate corresponding waveform.Drawing wave and bringing corresponding data is the emphasis and difficulty in the design, which embodies the "arbitrary" character of AWG.
