Analysis of the effects of underground coal mining on expressway

Abstract：When expressway passes through a coal mine, it is necessary to know the effects of the underground coal mining on expressway.Based on the geologic and mining conditions, the surface movement and deformation along expressway were predicted, values of surface movement and deformation were obtained, and then the mining damages of the expressway due to coal mining were analyzed and evaluated.The results demonstrate that the values of surface movement and deformation are bigger than the critical values of the expressway.The mining damages due to coal mining under expressway are visible and serious.
