中国英语学习者口笔语中认知立场副词的多维度研究

摘要:本研究基于中国英语学习者口笔语语料库和本族语者口笔语语料库的对比研究,探究我国英语学习者认知立场副词的使用特征。研究结果显示与本族语者相似,中国英语学习者无论在口语或书面语中都更倾向于使用确定立场副词。同时中国英语学习者显现出区别于本族语者的中介语特征,如语域特征不清晰,口语和笔语中最高频的3个立场副词为really,never,actually;口语中过度依赖高频词maybe,将其作为一种交际补偿策略,并不具有表述判断评价的意义;同时书面语和口语中句法单一,立场副词主要位于句首。

Abstract:The present contrastive study aimes to discover the usage of epistemic stance adverbs of Chinese learners based on learners corpus and native speakers corpus. The results revealed that similar to native speakers, foreign language learners employed more certain adverbs in spoken and written languages.More importantly, the data showed some specific features in learners interlanguage that the learners, lack of the awareness of register, preferred adverbs: really, never, actually in both written and oral English.In spoken language the learners overused the adverb “maybe”as a compensation strategy for their influent communication without the meaning of evaluation and judgment. Mainly locating in the beginning of the sentences, the stance adverbs presented monotonous sentence patterns in both written and spoken English.
