Abstract：Studies on Zhu Zaiyu were originated in 1930 s and became popular in 1980 s. Experts argued a lot about Zhu Zaiyu's achievements in the process of early recognizing, then fully filing, consistent researching and precise testing. The research goes deep step by step. At the same time, the domain of studies on Zhu Zaiyu is broadened but not comprehensive, and mainly focuses on his musical temperament achievement, ignoring his contribution in other fields. Sorting out the research achievements, this paper focuses on musicology, examines its research potential and broadens the scope of further research on Zhu Zaiyu.
