Abstract：Casualties of firefighters in the process of firefighting rescue have been an important issue to be solved. Based on the relevant theories of risk management and emergency management, the factors influencing firefighters' casualties are systematically analyzed from six aspects, which are risk assessment, supervision and inspection, team quality, rescue system, emergency linkage and public opinion. Based on the framework of the life cycle theory of emergency management, corresponding strategies to avoid firefighters' casualties are proposed for the four stages of prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.The results can provide suggestions and basis for improving the efficiency of accident rescue and ensuring the safety of firefighters.
