Abstract：Discourse coherence, as one of the focuses in discourse analysis, is a dynamic semantic concept from the perspective of cognition. Conceptual blending theory proposed by Fauconnier Turner can be used to better interpret constructive mechanism of discourse coherence and the cognitive process hidden behind it. This paper intends to analyze some sections of The Three-Body Problem utilizing conceptual blending theory to interpret the forming process and reasoning mechanism of discourse coherence, revealing some correlative elements in construction process of discourse coherence, which provides an effective channel for people analyzing science fictions in detail from multi-aspect as well as manifests the flexibility and creativity of conceptual blending theory.
