Abstract：China and Greece are two great ancient nations, they are the important birthplaces of Eastern and Western civilizations.Their mythologies were both born in the childhood period of human development and were the precious spiritual wealth of that period, which reflects the early people's thoughts about the universe, nature and human beings themselves.Therefore, the comparison and research of the mythologies are still of great scientific research value and can enlighten the cultural thinking.The Chinese and Greek mythologies are of common characteristics and themes, at the same time, they have their own characteristics and differences.This paper compares the Chinese and Greek mythologies from the perspective of systematicness, image characteristics, personalities and emotions and analyzes the potential social and cultural causes.
