Abstract: Objectives To investigate the influence of the gully land consolidation project and large-scale land infilling and excavation project on the eco-geological environment carrying capacity(EGCC) of the in the Yanhe River Basin, Methods a fractal theory and information quantity model were used to construct an EGCC evaluation model in the study area, the spatial and temporal patterns and flow dynamics of EGCC were revealed, the human activity intensity index was constructed, and the least squares method and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to explore the relationship between human activities and EGCC.  Results The results showed that the overall  EGCC situation in the Yanhe River improved significantly from 1990 to 2018,with an average value increased from -0.299 to -0.197.The distribution over the years showed a pattern of “the highest in the mcentral part, followed by the southeast, and the lowest in the northwest”.The intensity of human activities gradually developed from a patchy distribution in 1990 to a “single nuclear radiation” distribution in 2018,with the high-intensity area mainly distributed in the central part of Yanhe River Basin.Furthermore, the correlation between human activity intensity and EGCC was high, and there was a positive promoting relationship within a certain range.Under the influence of large-scale land infilling and excavation project, the area of high-level and higher-level EGCC increased by 1.610 km2 and 3.164 km2  from 2010 to 2018,respectively.The trend of the gully management project and EGCC varied according to the geographical location and development focus of townships where the the gully land consolidation project was locate.  Conclusions Overall,There was a strong positive correlation between human activities and the EGCC,and the gully land consolidation project and large-scale land infilling and excavation project had a positive impact on the EGCC.
