Abstract:The perforation spacing of horizontal well staged fracturing has a significant effect on the permeability of coal reservoir. In order to explore the law of fracture extension of coal reservoir under different perforation spacing, taking Daning Jixian block of Ordos as an example, the extended finite element method was used to simulate and study the effect of perforation spacing on the initiation pressure, geometric characteristics and extension morphology of fracture. The results showed that when the perforation spacing was small, the fracture initiation pressure was high, the height and width were small, and the extension form was complex. The fracture extended in the direction of the minimum horizontal principal stress; With the increase of perforation spacing, the fracture initiation pressure decreased, the height and width increased, and the fracture extension gradually returned to the direction of the maximum horizontal principal stress; When the perforation spacing reached 105 m,the fracture initiation pressure and geometric shape basically did not change, all fractures did not deflect, and the fracturing effect reached the best.Field verification showed that the simulation results and the measured data had a high coincidence, the relative error was only 2%~5%,which proved the applicability of the numerical model. The research results could provide theoretical basis for the staged fracturing construction design of horizontal wells.
