Abstract:To study the mechanical properties of eccentric compression coral concrete column with CFRP bars reinforced, the numerical analysis of 30 test columns were carried out by ANSYS.The effects of eccentricity, length to height ratio and longitudinal reinforcement ratio on the ultimate bearing capacity, the stress of concrete on compression side, the mid-span deflection and displacement of specimens were measured and analyzed. The results indicated that the increase of eccentricity and length to height ratio not only decreased the ultimate bearing capacity, but also resulted in critical mid-span deflection. The ultimate stress of concrete on compression side in specimen PY-60 was only 23 MPa,about 1/2 of the ultimate stress of concrete of axial specimen PY-0.Meanwhile,the ultimate bearing capacity was improved by increasing the longitudinal reinforcement ratio of specimens.Subsequently, the second-order flexural effect was analyzed, based on the current code, the calculation method of moment magnification factor ηns on CFRP reinforced coral concrete eccentric compression column was put forward and corrected adaptively in the paper. The theoretical calculation results agreed well with the experimental results of existing studies, which had guiding values to a certain extent.
