Abstract:In order to determine the chemical dissolution index (CHI) of the degree of limestone karstification in Maokou Formation, the key elements of limestone karstification in Maokou Formation in Western Guizhou were determined by rock mineral identification, electron microscope scanning, energy spectrum analysis experiment, single factor ANOVA and multivariate discriminant analysis. And based on the principal component contribution rate theory, the chemical dissolution index was established. The results showed that the average surface karst development rates of strong karstification, middle karstification and fresh limestone were 16.658%,7.892%,and 0.073%,respectively.The key elements and degree of influence of geochemical composition difference of limestone with different degree of karstification were Ca,Si,Fe,Al,Mg,O,C in turn. The established semi-quantitative chemical dissolution index was CHI=-16.937×ln w(Ca)-5.675×ln w(Mg)-4.925×ln w(Si)+3.025×ln w(Al)+1.240×ln w(Fe)-43.308.This index basically reflected the actual situation of limestone karstification and could provide theoretical and technical support for the construction of projects in Western Guizhou karst area.
