Abstract: In order to solve the problems of serious hole collapse and low drainage efficiency when drilling hydraulically along the bed,the technology of integration of drilling , hydraulic punching and hole protection was developed, which integrated hydraulic cavity making technology and screen pipe protection while drilling, and the drilling,hydraulic punching ,hole protection integration device were developed. The drilling of gas drainage boreholes along the coal seam , hydraulic cavitation and installation of screens while drilling were realized. Field tests showed that the screen installation depth of the drilling, hydraulic punching and hole protection integration technology was 98% , which was 2.18 times that of the original hydraulic cavitation technology and 1.96 times that of ordinary drilling. The average gas drainage scalar volume of the borehole was 0.258 m3/min , which was 1.8 times that of the original hydraulic cavitation technology and 4.86 times that of ordinary boreholes. The gas flow attenuation coefficient of the borehole was 0. 016 d -1 which was 19.4% of the original hydraulic cavitation technology and 50% of the ordinary borehole. The technology of drilling and protecting integration improved the installation depth of screen pipe slowed down the gas attenuation and effectively improved the efficiency of gas extraction.
