Abstract:In order to develop an economicalefficient and safe nano-porous carbon material for the adsorption and separation of CO2/CH4 and the adsorption of methanolone-step carbonization/activation process was adopted to prepare the flexible nitrogen-doped activated porous carbon cloths via selecting viscose fiber fabric as the precursor and CO2 as active agentand the effect of activation temperature on the development of porosity structure and chemical composition of porous carbon was analyzed.The results showed that the FPCC-A-800 was prepared at the activation temperature of 800 ℃possessing ultra-micropore volume as high as 0.29 m3/gaccounting for 71% of the total pore volumeand the nitrogen content of 5.88%.At 25 ℃ and 0.1 MPathe FPCC-A-800 has the highest CO2 adsorption capacity of 3.13 mmol/g.According to the ideal adsorption solution tdheoryIAST),the selectivity of FPCC-A-800 for binary gas mixture CO2/CH4the volume ratio 50/50 was calculated to be 2.35which should be attributed to the synergistic effect between excellent ultra-microporous structure and moderate nitrogen content.The FPCC-A-900 was prepared at the activation temperature of 900 ℃possessing the best methanol adsorption capacity of 9.90 mmol/g at 25 ℃ and 0.009 5 MPawhich should be attributed to its maximum specific surface area1 159 cm2/g and total pore volume 0.54 cm3/g.The FPCC-A-700 was prepared at the activation temperature of 700 ℃possessing the highest nitrogen contentand exhibiting the best CO2/CH4 separation performance at lowpressure.According to Henry’s calculationthe CO2/CH4 selectivity coefficient FPCC-A-700 was 3.36 at 25 ℃.The experiments showed that the as-prepared flexible N-doped active porous carbon cloth had a good application prospect in controlling the greenhouse gasimproving the utilization rate of coalbed methaneand enhancing the adsorption of industrial methanol.
