Abstract:In order to In order to explore the influence of weak interlayer on the stability of gently inclined bedding rock slopes and the influence of overcoming the limitations of using safety factor of slope stability evaluationa mutation progression method based on the theory of the cusp mutation the stability of the slope was put forward.Six factorssuch as cohesionc),internal friction angleφ),inclination angleβ),thicknessd),rock mass weightγand void water pressure ratioγu),were selected to conduct a five-level orthogonal testand a simplified slope model was established. Then the safety factor of the slope was calculated by the strength reduction method and the abrupt transition progression of the experimental slope model was obtained based on the abrupt transition progression method. The results showed that the sensitivity sequence of the six main controlling factors that affected the stability of gently dipping bedding rock slopes with weak interlayers was as φ;β;c;γu;γ;d.The evaluation results of slope stability by abrupt progression method are consistent with strength reduction method and limit equilibrium methodand verified by practical projects. The abrupt progression method was feasibleintuitive and convenient in the stability evaluation of such slopes. The research results could provide guidance for the stability evaluation of this kind of slope.
