Abstract:In order to study the influence of the flange thickness of T-shaped steel connections on the seismic performance of the beam column joints in the frame, two kinds of T-shaped steel connections with different thickness were designed for the quasi-static tests of the column end loading. The deformation characteristics and failure patterns of the beam column joints in the frame were studied. The failure mechanism and poles of the flange thickness of T-shaped steel connections were analyzed. Limited bearing capacity and the influence of hysteretic performance and energy dissipation characteristics were analyzed. The test results showed that the initial stiffness, yield strength, ultimate strength, yield displacement, ultimate displacement and energy dissipation capacity of the test piece increased with the increase of the flange thickness of the T-shaped steel connection, but the ductility coefficient remained unchanged, and the gap between the T-shaped steel connection and the column decreased.
