Abstract:In view of the current situation that the characteristics of air flow movement in the working face and retaining gateway are not clear under the mode of roof cutting and pressure relief taking the 12201 working face of Halagou coal mine as the engineering background the air flow movement rules in the goaf working face and remaining gateway were simulated by FLUENT software. The results showed that there was a large eddy current area in the gob close to the corner of both ends of the working face and a small eddy current area in the gob close to the working face under the mode of roof cutting and pressure relief. There is mass exchange between the air flow in the gob and the air flow in the working face and retaining gateway. Two serious air leakage areas with 18~85 m and 304~325 m along the direction of the working face inclination 321~325 m was the serious air leakage section the 22~100 m and 390~398 m in remaining gateway were the key air leakage areas and the 22~30 m was the key air leakage section. The key air leakage areas and sections were the key prevention areas for air leakage in the working faceand measures for blocking and guiding air flow should be taken.
