Abstract:In order to reuse engineering residual soil and make it become a new type of building material, the influence of cement stabilizing material on the strength of residual soil was studied firstly, then the waste newspaper was cottonized to produce the regenerated fiber. A new improved solidified soil was obtained by mixing water, cement and regenerated fibers together by fluidization treatment method of soil. The influence of regenerated fiber material on strength and deformation characteristics of solidified residue was investigated by triaxial compression test. The results showed that cement improved the initial elastic modulus and strength mainly by enhancing the cohesion with solidified soil. The mechanical properties of solidified soil were improved mainly by toughening and cracking resistance of fiber, and the increasing internal friction resistance of the soil. Finally, the stress-strain curve of regenerated fiber solidified soil with different content was fitted by two-stage fitting equation, and a higher fitting degree was obtained, which reflected the deformation characteristics of the soil.
