Abstract:In order to analysis basic properties of coal-to-liquids slag and make it use as concrete aggregate to replace natural sand and grout to prepare slag shotcrete, by analyzing the physical properties and mineral composition of coal-to-liquids slag, the slag concrete mix ratio was optimized. The slag concrete was prepared by mixing the amount of additives i. e. dispersed powder and silica fume. The slag concrete's adhesiveness and strength properties were tested and microscopic interface structure of the slag aggregate-cement was observed. The results showed that the coal-to-liquids slag had similar particle size and physical properties. The construction sand, and the strength ratio were good when the ratio of cement to slag weight was 1∶ 4. With the increase of the silica fume content, the flexural and compressive strength increases. The changes in adhesive property is not significant. Along with the amount of redispersible latex powder increases, the flexural strength first increases and then decreases. The compressive strength decreases linearly and the adhesiveness is greatly improved. Finally, the coal-to-liquids slag sprayed concrete prepared under the optimized mixing ratio and the addition of a suitable additive amount was obtained.
