Abstract: Objectives To clarify the spatial motion law of coal releasing mechanism is the key scientific problem to realize the precise control of coal opening degree and ensure the stable and continuous automatic coal releasing. Methods ABAQUS software was used to construct a three-dimensional multi-body dynamic model of four-pillar roof coal discharge hydraulic support, and multi-factor numerical simulation tests were carried out to analyze the influences of the support height of the hydraulic support and the inclination angle of the roof beam on the movement trajectory of the coal discharge mechanism; the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm was used to fit the critical criterion of the anti-interference of the roof beam of the support at different angles and the equations of the degree of the opening of the coal discharge opening. Results The results show that: (1) the articulation point of cover beam-tail beam is taken as the key node to regulate the coal releasing mechanism, the motion law of the coal releasing mechanism is clarified under various bracket attitudes such as bracket lifting and lowering, roof beam pitching, etc., and a description method of the position of the coal releasing mechanism and its motion trajectory is established; (2) the interference mechanism of the coal releasing mechanism is revealed, and the bracket state parameter and the optimal configuration of sensors necessary for the positioning of the coal releasing mechanism are clarified; (3) the relationship between bracket state parameter and sensor is constructed, Constructed the correlation database between the bracket state parameters and the opening degree of the coal discharge opening and the coordinates of the end of the insert plate, established the control method of the opening degree of the coal discharge opening, and developed the intelligent coal discharge decision-making software. The field test shows that the average error of the opening degree of coal discharge port is 1.26%, and the automatic coal discharge method of “remote automatic coal discharge and manual inspection intervention” is successfully realized, which effectively solves the mechanical interference problem that often occurs in the process of automatic coal discharge, and significantly improves the reliability and continuity of automatic coal discharge. Conclusions The research results can provide theoretical reference for the realization of continuous and reliable automatic coal release technology.
