Abstract：J.M.Coetzee, a distinguished writer with a global reputation, has received more and more attention in China since he won the 2003 Nobel Prize for Literature.This paper attempts to provide an overview of the studies on Coetzee in China, holding that Chinese critics should give an overall focus on Coetzee's works, pay more attention to the localization study, and strengthen exchanges with international Coetzee research community to widen theoretical view, so as to bring about a new situation for the studies on Coetzee.
