Abstract：Chinese traditional family instructions are important part of Chinese culture. Since the middle of 1990 s, cultural studies on Chinese traditional family instructions have achieved a lot including editing and publishing the works of traditional family instructions, relevant research books and papers. Based on previous studies, this paper reviews the following types of research topic on Chinese family instructions, moral education, benevolence thought, filial piety, regulating a family, study, making friends, credibility and integrity thought. Then, this paper explored the relationship between traditional family instructions and the cultivation of socialist core values, the construction of incorrupt leader' s family instructions. Finally, the author makes some proposals on further research orientation.
