Investigation on velocity relief angle and critical oblique angle of the self-propelled rotary cutting tool

Abstract：First, a new concept is put forward, namely velocity Relief Angle, its general formulation is deduced.Then, the general formulation of the Critieal Oblique Angle is deduced, and it’s changing tendency under various factors which influence the limit of the oblique angle are analysed.Finally, some conclusions are made, such as the Critical Oblique Angle is direct ratio to the workpiece’s radius, the cutting tool’s radius, and relief angle;it is inverse ratio to the depyh of cutting, and so on.These conclusions have important direct meaning to the practical application of the self?proplled rotary tools.
