Review of Intrinsic Bioremediation of Organic Compounds?contaminated Ground Water

Abstract：Intrinsic remediation is a plume management strategy.Intrinsic biodegradation is the most important mechanism of intrinsic remediation.Based on the analysing of the concept of intrinsic biormediation, the authors have reviewed the migration pathways and biodegradation mechanism of organic contaminants in the subsurface.Two cases have provided enough evidence to suppot intrinsic bioremediation.Ground water contamination caused by organic compounds is extensive and serious.It presents a formidable remediation challenge to researchers.
