Abstract：Flannery O'Connor is regarded as the prophet of American southern culture, and her novels are all set in American South and depict the picture that materialistic people lived in a corrupt business world, lacking faith and with moral decay with the rapid development of economy in American South.From the aspects of ethnic culture, economic culture and religious culture of the South, the author aims at analyzing O'Connor's unique writing perspective and purpose of writing, which may provide a good way for readers to understand the prevailing culture of American South.
