Abstract：Sun Qi-feng's proposal of unity of knowledge and practice was not only limited to his philosophical thinking, but also throughout his entire scholarly pursuit, which gradually developed to his philosophy of life. In term of living, he respected Confucianism, worshiped good manners and the quality of filial piety and loyalty. In term of character and temperament, he was upright and broad-minded. In learning process, he integrated proposals of Zhu Xi and Lu Junzhou and advocated learning for practice.Sun Qi-feng's unity of knowledge and practice was spoken highly by later generations.
