Abstract：The study of the fiction lays special emphasis on the academic history research. Based on the developing history of the literary criticism and the background of the fiction history, the paper studies the practical work and the theoretical contribution of the fiction theoretical criticism to the development of the fiction history and gives statements to the charateristics of this study. The main part of the study of Chinese fictions is the peripheral research, and the researches focusing on the literary form study in Chinese fiction history reveals that the essence of Chinese fiction is the self-development history within the Chinese fiction history.
