Abstract：The family ethical narration, marriage ethical narration and social status ethical narration are three aspects of the ethical relationship vividly depicted in For a Word. The unconventional ethical narration is not Liu's deliberate deconstruction, the long-hidden other side of rural life's daily experience instead. Meanwhile, the novel's ethical narration also implies author's narrative ethics: ethical orientation of paradoxes “insoluble stray and incessant root seeking” and “real existence and existing vulgarness”.
