Abstract：The spiritual kernel of folk culture highlights the mental outlook, willpower and values of the people of all ethnic groups, thereby becoming an important source of core socialist values. On the contrary, core socialist values also feed the contemporary Chinese folk culture and become a sharp weapon to resist the vulgar spirits. Adhering to leading the development of folk culture with core socialist values is the inevitable choice for the further development and prosperity of folk culture in the new era.
