Abstract：Since the mid and late 1980s,the Third Generation Poetry has sprung up.Yu Jian,a representative of the Third Generation poets,has aroused the widespread interest by his avant-garde poetic ideas and poetry works.The author starts with analyzing Yu Jian's poetry texts and finds that Yu Jian's poetry have both the feature of plainness and reality which is a writing between imagination and reality.However,this kind of writing is difficult and adventurous.If the balance is not handled well,the writing will easily turn out to be a failure for poorness of plainness or reality.Yu Jian's poetry opens up a quite promising way for the writing of Chinese free verse,that is,a kind of poetry writing subtly and ingeniously between imagination and reality.
