Abstract：The social and literary value of Jin Ping Mei Ci Hua is well recognized in the academic world.We hold that to study a work, one must first understand it. In order to achieve this goal, the linguistic study of Jin Ping Mei Ci Hua has become an important topic of academic discussion. This paper discusses the methods and principles of how to understand the difficult dialectal words in the book, and puts forward different opinions on some dialectal words interpreted by previous scholars.
