Abstract：As one of the popular social thought in contemporary China, there are many serious negative impacts of historical nihilism on college students, such as corroding cultural foundation, shaking ideals and beliefs, clouding political belief, subverting value identity. A variety of factors accounts for the quick spread of historical nihilism on campus, such as the macro background of social transition, the deceptive propaganda of historical nihilism, the imperfect supervisory system, the ineffective ideological and political theory courses and so forth. To effectively eliminate the negative impacts of historical nihilism, we should strengthen the education of historical materialism, the supervision of relevant departments and the efforts in network construction, thereby guiding the healthy growth of college students.
