Abstract：Sense of gain refers to the long-lasting satisfaction resulting from the acquisition both in material and spirit, emphasizing a real gain on an individual basis. Sense of gain is the happiness index that people share the fruits of reform, and its starting point is the people which embodies the people-centered Marxist materialist conception of history, which guarantees that the people can enjoy true benefits. Therefore, sense of gain is better interpreted from social cognitive perspective, such as the satisfaction of selfworth and self-esteem. The proposal of the concept can promote the comprehensive development of human beings, better solve practical problems and enhance national self-confidence and cohesion. To achieve people's sense of gain, we must strengthen our conviction and come down to earth.
