Abstract:In order to improve the machining quality and efficiency of aviation materials by optimal machining parameters,the influence of machining parameters on the stability of vertical feed ultrasonic milling system was studied.Based on the experimental modal method,the dynamic model of the system was established by using the linear theory of nonlinear periodic function.The dynamic model of the system was solved by the full discrete method.Further,the prediction curve of the influence of machining parameters on the system stability was obtained.The theoretical prediction results were verified by milling titanium alloy materials.The results showed that the change of ultrasonic amplitude had a significant impact on the stability of the non-separation system.With the decrease of ultrasonic amplitude,the stability area of the system tended to increase gradually.The stability area showed an upward trend as a whole and limit value of the axial cutting depth raised by 14.28 % with the increase of the feed rate per tooth in system.There was the best parameter matching between ultrasonic frequency and spindle speed.It was not that the greater the ultrasonic frequency was,the better the stability of the system was.The experimental results were basically consistent with the prediction curve and the theoretical model was verified to be correct.
