Abstract: In order to study the hysteretic performance and energy dissipation characteristics of the fabricated K-shaped eccentrically braced steel frame under low-cycle cyclic loading,a pseudo-static test and nonlinear analysis of three finite element models were carried out. The main researches were the damage form, hysteresis performance, stiffness degradation rate, ultimate bearing capacity, ductility and energy dissipation capacity of this structural system. The results showed that the multi-layer fabricated K-shaped eccentrically braced frame had better capacity, good deformation, and greater ductility than the traditional welded eccentrically braced steel frame, but the hysteresis curve showed a certain " pinching" phenomenon. With the increase of the length of the link, the ultimate bearing capacity and energy-dissipation capacity of the frame showed a downward trend, and the phenomenon of pinching of the hysteresis curve increased. This study provided a reference for the seismic design of fabricated K-shaped eccentrically braced steel frames, which had certain engineering practical significance.
