Staged testing method for gas drainage effective radius of hole drilled along seam based on residual gas content

Abstract:In order to reasonably determine the spacing of gas drainage boreholes and effectively reduce or eliminate the drainage blank zone , based on the relevant standards and industry specifications , the critical value of gas content in outburst coal seams , the amount of desorbed gas from coal before mining , gas pre-drainage and drainage efficiency of coal face were taken as four basic indexes to determine whether the drainage standard shave been realized in this paper, then the minimum value of residual gas content calculated according to four indexes was selected as the inspection index to explore the new technology for determining the effective radius of hole drilled along seam ,and the staged method was put forward. Secondly , the effective radius of No.3 coal seam in Huoerxinhe coal mine was measured by using the staged method , and numerical simulation was carried out to verify the test results based on the fluid-solid coupling dynamic model. The results showed that the values of field tests based on staged testing method and that of numerical simulation were in good agreement with each other , the new testing technique of effective radius was feasible ,the effective radius was 1.52 m and the spacing of borehole arrangement was 2.50 m during the reasonable pre-drainage period. The conclusion had reference significance for improving the method of measuring effective radius and for ensuring the drainage effect.
