Abstract：There is a large numbers of redundant words in Cihua Edition of Golden Lotus, some of them are very typical usage which embody the features of the redundancy in the ancient vernacular Chinese language, so it is of great value to be studied. Without identification of these redundant words and comprehension of their functions in our reading, study and reorganizing works of the ancient vernacular, we may give rise to numerous errors which should not have happened.
