Abstract：Iqbal was a very famous Muslim poet, philosopher, and social activist in South Asia. The Studies of his poem translation in China began in 1950s. Some remarkable achievements were gotten in this field since 1980s, which mainly focus on the following aspects: the cultural identity of Iqbal, Iqbal' s philosophical thought reflected in his poem, his social and political thought, his concept of aesthetics and poetics, etc. The topic and style of Iqbal's poem make him popular in China, at the same time, China's social and cultural background decides the research orientation of his poem over past 60 years in China. Though many achievements are gotten in this field, there are still some problems, such as, the research teams are very few, the research perspectives are limited, etc.
