Abstract：Ecological civilization construction is a major livelihood project in China. Constructing ecological civilization must take Marxism as the guiding thought and apply Marxist ecology view to the analysis and solving the theoretical and practical problems in the process of ecological civilization construction. Marxist ecology view has the following features: the scientific ecological concept that taking the dialectical materialism and historical materialism as its philosophical basis, taking the people as the core in the practice of environmental protection, the ecological value orientation that emphasizes the sustainable harmony of nature and human society, and so on. The above features of Marxist ecology view decide its vital practical significance to promote the ecological civilization construction of China.
