Abstract：We should learn from Confucianism essence to shape a unique national character which combines the traditional spirits and the modern characteristics in the cultivation of China's spiritual culture.Loyalty, forgiveness and tolerance advocated by the Confucian moral outlook are ideal characters generated by the spiritual culture;virtue cultivation is the value orientation of spiritual culture development;practice is a carrier of the heritage of spiritual culture.Loyalty and forgiveness are needed in order to shape the spiritual culture guided by the socialist core value system.
