Abstract：Micro era, featuring Micro-Blog and We-Chat, is a new stage in the development of news media. College counselors' role transformation as network opinion leaders accords with college students' cognitive and behavioral characters in micro era, while obstacles still exist, such as lacking strategic planning of education authorities, imperfect system of higher education, and self-limits of counselors. To transform college counselors into network opinion leaders, the education authorities, colleges and counselors should all take actions conforming to the trend, which will produce good effects of ideological and political education.
