Abstract：As an important way of cultural communication, Chinese classics, such as The Analects and Mencius, have always been the focus of studies in Japan. With the help of historical perspective, the paper studies the translation status of Chinese classics in modern Japan and excellent translation versions in particular, and points out that translators should be Japanese sinologists with various cultural experience and cultivation, no matter whether the translation is based on the rule of cultural communication or historical facts.
