Abstract：Chinese American literature has attracted wide and deep attention of global literature and critic circles due to its thriving development. Criticism in western countries aroused Chinese American writers' creative passion and thus promoted the development of Chinese American literature. These days the newly-emerged but quite popular theory——cultural representation theory has caught world-wide attention, offering a brand new perspective to study culture and literature. This paper employs this theory to explore Chinese American literature in the hope of further promoting and expanding its creation and study.
