Abstract：Sophisticated human affairs at different social levels are woven together in perfect order in The Golden Lotus with a main thread running through even though some plots are claimed to copy other works, which benefits from its narrative structure: comparison and contrast, multi- dimentional setting and shift of narrative point of view. It is the narrative structure that expands readers' horizon of reading, creates a number of round characters and makes the novel a classic.
