Abstract：In order to promote the competitiveness of Fujian manufacturing industries and narrow the gap with other provinces, this paper employs shift-share model to evaluate the development situation of manufacturing industries after calculating the share, structure and competitiveness deviation component of Fujian 29 manufacturing industries with that of the whole country for reference. The empirical analysis results show that the development speed of Fujian manufacturing industries is medium, industries with a good momentum are few, the proportion of sunset industries is too high, advantages of traditional industries are gradually decline, and the three leading industries have not been established. And at last, the paper puts forward some countermeasures to enhance competitiveness of Fujian manufacturing industries.
