论道清铁路收赎及影响

摘要:道清铁路是近代英国福公司为外运豫省煤炭而修建的一条铁路。1905年,福公司因铁路费用难以承担,故强迫清政府签订铁路借款合同,将铁路收归国有,但铁路使用及管理权仍操于福公司之手六十年。道清铁路对英国福公司、中国政府以及豫省的发展都产生了重要的历史影响,对地处豫省西北的焦作现代化发展也起到了重要推动作用。

On the redemption and influence of the Daokou-Qinghua Railway

Abstract:The Daokou-Qinghua Railway (hereinafter referred to as Daoqing Railway) was built by the Peking Syndicate Limited to transport coal from Henan Province. In 1905, the company, due to the difficulty of bearing railway expenses, forced the Qing government to sign a railway loan contract to nationalize the railway. However, the company still had the right to use and manage this railway for 60 years. The Daoqing Railway has important historical influence on the development of the Peking Syndicate Limited, Chinese government and Henan province, and also plays an important role in promoting the modernization of Jiaozuo City, which is located in the northwest of Henan Province.
