Abstract：Agricultural modernization, urbanization, industrialization, informatization and greenization (hereinafter referred to as “Five Modernizations”) have received great attention from all walks of life. Using the comprehensive development index and the coupling coordination degree model, the paper explores the spatial-temporal evolution feature of the coordinated development of the “Five Modernizations” in Henan Province from 2007 to 2016. The results show that:In the time dimension, the “Five Modernizations” comprehensive development index showed a volatility overall trend. The overall strength is increasing. The “Five Modernizations” coupling degree is generally higher. The interaction between systems is significant. The level of coordination degree is relatively low. The average is between the onset and the barely coordinated. In the spatial dimension, the areas with higher comprehensive development level of “Five Modernizations” are mainly distributed in Zhengzhou City and its surrounding areas. The distribution of lower areas is changed from the southeastern part of Henan Province to the west. The areas with high coupling degree of “Five Modernizations” are distributed in Zhengzhou and its surrounding areas. The lower areas are distributed in the southeast of Henan Province. The areas that have reached primary coordination are mainly distributed in Zhengzhou and its surrounding areas. The areas that are barely coordinated and uncoordinated are mainly distributed in the southeastern and western regions of Henan Province. In response to the problems existing in the coordinated development of the “Five Modernizations” in Henan Province, development countermeasures are proposed to promote the overall comprehensive strength of Henan Province.
