Abstract：The arrival of the Age of Big Data has offered opportunities as well as challenges for the reform of emergency management system. A crucial issue is how to utilize the technology and thought of big data to realize the development of emergency management system effectively. Beginning with the introduction to status quo of China's emergency management system and concept of big data,we summarized the application of big data in the early warning,disposal and rescue of four types of emergencies,analyzed challenges brought about and put forward such core strategies as system innovation and technology development to carry forward the reform of emergency management system.
